Introducing Sealane

Sealane was established in 1979 as Sealane Coldstorage - one of the first companies in the (at the time) brand new Eemshaven Seaport in the North of the Netherlands. Being one of the first meant that we were able to establish our business in a prime spot of the harbour, with our own terminal and quayside warehouses.

In the course of the years, we have expanded our package of services along with the facilities we had and offered. Sealane steadily built a reputation as a reliable service-oriented company, committed to its customers and to perfect handling and storage of their products.

Together with the Norwegian company Nor Lines we started a weekly cargo liner service on some 30 Norwegian ports. We also expanded our services regarding general cargo with the acquisition of a large terminal and warehouse adjacent to our existing facilities.

Our strategic location is one of our greatest assets. Eemshaven is an easy to reach and uncongested port in Northern Europe. Our bonded coldstore and terminal are directly on the waterfront. We have two 150m long private quays close to the entrance of the (deep-sea) port, as well as RoRo facilities. All this makes our location very accessible across the water. What's more, the surrounding infrastructure is perfect: our site connects directly to the Dutch and German motorway, the railroad, and inland shipping networks.
